Wings of War

We did a little World War I aircraft gaming this month, playing Wings of War. My wingman and I flew German planes, against our opponents' British and French aircraft.
Gameplay is a little like X-Wing, with simultaneous movement from templates--but you pick three moves at a time, and shooting is resolved by card draw (everything from no damage to pilot wounded to kaboom). It was a good time, even though I got kaboomed.

  1. I've got a bunch of the planes but never played the game, using the for All Quiet On The Martian Front :)

  2. I absolutely love Wings of War/Glory. I have heavily jumped into WWI, with a decent number of WWII and Sails of Glory miniatures too. And Tripods & Triplanes. Last fall some friends fell down the rabbit hole too and now we try to get together every month or so for dogfighting galore. So much fun.

  3. I think Fantasy Flight bought the Wings of War license just so they could take the mechanics. Glad its back as Wings of Glory.
