Flags of the Solar Federation

Just daydreaming some banners for fictional political entities in my nebulous future history setting for my sci-fi spaceship games.  These are the flags for some of the Off World Colonies prior to the advent of interstellar travel.

As the revolutionaries used red bandanas to signify rebel affiliation, the Mars Conclave adopted the plain red banner as its flag upon receiving UN recognition.

The gray field represents the lunar surface, while the black field above represents the airless sky of the moon (this may not be apparent in your browser because the black blends into the background color of this post).

The vertical bands represent the surface of the planet and three of its major rings.  The gap between the gray and white bands is the Cassini Division.

This is all I have so far; I may do more if the inspiration strikes me.  Anyone else make up flags for their fictional nations?

Solar Federation? Haven't they assumed control? They have assumed control.

Although I've got mixed feelings about lots of Heinlein's The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress, I've always had a soft spot in my heart for his flag design of the independent lunar republic. (I can't find a clean link, but search Google Images for "flag" and "TANSTAAFL") :-)

Peter Pig's AK47 Republic actually requires you to draw up the flag for your African faction as part of the game process. There are even tables to generate the design. I wish I could remember the details of the one for our militant Central African UFO cult ...
