Back to the arena

I had a chance to play the upcoming fantasy gladiator game, Red Sand Black Moon, with Ed from Two Hour Wargames.  We continued the gladiatorial career of his dark elf swordsmistress.  This time, she took on a serpent-man, controlled by yours truly.
It was a bloody game, at least from Snake-boy's vantage point.  He never got a blow in against the elf, and she ended up gutting him.
I next took a human warrior woman, who met pretty much the same fate (although she at least got one hit on the elf).
Combat in this game can go back and forth for awhile, until you use up all your bonus dice.  Then your opponent gets in one or two hits and you end up bleeding on the arena floor.  But the various traits each fantasy race gets means the game can still surprise you.

I *like* that snake man mini! Great point job, too. What make is that?

This game sounds kind of interesting. My sons would probably like it, at least in theory.

I'd buy it. Just the thing for a quick game when the gaming buddies come round for dinner or a movie.

Bighara, all the minis in this post are from Reaper. They were painted by a fellow Texan called Combatpainter.

Love the colour scheme on the serpent man. I have several of these, myself; great miniatures.
